  Dear Colleagues,

In June we will host our SECOND JYF SUMMER PROGRAM from June 2 - July
2, 2008. To date, we have
participants from 7 different colleges. I am writing to ask you to
please annonce this
new summer program to your students. We are sending a few brochures to
your office. It was a very successful
program last summer - the only complaint was that it was too short.
They may find detailed information on our web site <www.jyf.sbc.edu> and
click under "Summer program".
Merit Scholarships are available. Once again, Mme Délia Mellado (Atelier
d'écriture), M. Jean Christophe Pralong-Gourvennec (Art History) and M.
Guillaume Peigné ( History of Paris through its monuments) will teach
this summer. It is a wonderful opportunity for those who cannot leave
for a semester but who wish to study at an advanced level in Paris.
Students must have completed intermediate college level of French with a
2.75 gpa - lower than the fall requirement of 3.0.
PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR STUDENTS TO APPLY. DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO
MAY I SINCE NO VISAS ARE REQUIRED.

If you have any questions and/or concerns, please do not hesitate to
contact me at
<jyf at sbc.edu> or at (434) 381-6109

Thank you again for your continued loyalty to SBC JYF.

Wishing you a wonderful end of the semester and a relaxing summer break.

Best regards,

Margaret
