Dear Colleagues,
A short update about SBC JYF. I just returned from Paris where I
worked with
my staff during the Orientation program for 50 new students who arrived
on January 13 for spring
semester. The total number of students (which includes the year long
students) is 93. There were
58 fall semester students who returned to their host colleges on January
12.
We have been very busy with this transition but all appears to be
working smoothly. As usual,
we have an exceptional group of students. So far, no major problems.
I wanted to inform you that we have finally added the "student video
interviews" link to our
web site. I am so delighted that you will be able to see and hear some
of our students who were
interviewed last May in the Luxembourg garden. Just go to our web site at
<www.jyf.sbc.edu> and then click on the top under "student video
interviews" I know that you
will enjoy their comments.
Lastly, I would like to remind you all that SBC JYF will begin its New
Summer Program in June.
You should have received brochures about the program in September. If
you need more, please
advise. Students may access information about the program on our web
site under "New summer program"
Since this is a pilot program, we will limit it to 20-25 students. The
application deadine for the
summer program is April 1. (March 15 for our year and fall semester)
If you have any questions and/or concerns,
please do not hesitate to contact me.
Wishing you all a wonderful spring semester. Thank you again for your
support of SBC JYF.
Sincerely
Margaret Scouten
Director
