[Fallfest] Re: Fall Fest Meeting in April and the 2006 Fall Festival

Lori, Bill, and everyone - 
  I am writing to let all know that I am going to have to step down this year from my job as chair of the shoe committee.  I have developed arthritis (psoriatic arthritis) which is why I have disappeared from dances.  The symptoms have also made stairs, many movements, and (currently) even chewing a challenge.  I am hoping to get it under control soon, but see no way that I'll be able to deal with the physical demands of the jobs or possibly even be able to dance at all depending on how well I respond to treatment.

     It's getting to be that time of year when the Charlottesville Fall Dance Festival committees and interested parties meet to start forming volunteer committees and also to select the local band and caller for the Friday night dance of the festival.
    Please let me know which date works best for you for a meeting:  Monday April 17th at 7:00 p.m. *OR*  Monday, April 24th at 7:00 p.m.  I will do my best to choose the date that will have the most attendance.  If you can't attend this meeting, you can still nominate a band/caller by emailing the info to me.  You can also volunteer to help out with a specific committee by email or just send me general feedback to have on hand at the meeting!
   The meeting will take place at the home of Bill Feeney, my co-chair for this year's Fall Festival (directions below).
   In case you haven't heard yet, this year's featured band is Goldcrest (Dave Wiesler, Paul Oorts and Daron Douglas), featured caller is Kathy Anderson and Jamie Platt is doing sound.

  Go north on Locust Avenue, either from the 250 bypass or from the intersection of High Street and Locust Avenue.
   
  Proceed through 3 stop signs, then make a left turn when Locust Avenue ends in a T intersection. You are now on Locust Lane. Pass a 100-yard open hillside. My house is the first one on the right.
