Dear Folks,
For some reason I thought I had already sent these out, but I hadn't. So
here are the minutes from our wrap up meeting.
Have a safe, joyful holiday season, and I if I don't see you before I leave
for FL., then I will see you next year :-)
Thanks for all your hard work,
Teri

Meeting Minutes, Nov. 5, 2003
1) Thanks to everyone who helped pull off a successful festival!
2) Evaluations were generally very positive, commenting on our
friendliness, good music, smooth organization and great dancing.
Suggestions will be passed on to the appropriate committees for next
year.
3) Walker School was very happy. Bill was $2737, slightly less than
last year (gave us a break on the custodian Friday, since he was already
on theri payroll). Welcome to turn in application for next year. (Gaye
will do this.) **Consider giving school staff t-shirts next year.
4) Committee reports:
Potluck: success for folks eating, hard for Beau. took lots of time
(missed workshops and part of evening dance). Make sure there is better
communication of expectations (ie. 4-8PM). Coordinate better between
food committees about extra food and buying stuff beforehand. Beau will
consider doing it again.
Shoes: went smoothly, Michelle willing to do again.
Volunteers: Good to have info on web. easy communication with
registrar. Would be good to have a brief description of committee
expectations from each chairperson. Lynn would prefer not to chair next
year.
Workshops: interesting to do, lots of paperwork, logistics, emails.
Bill willing to do again.
Housing: Less stressful because of Camp Holiday Trails (60 maximum).
Consider incentive for hosting. Consider offering 2 options on flyer:
arrange your own or Camp Holiday Trails. Becky is retiring.
Registration: Rob will do again if he has understudy. Enjoys process.
Make sure band hospitality person registers band and caller.
Sound: need to know ahead of time what is needed (how many folks, how
organized). Consider all options for hiring.
T-shirts: great. Order fewer next year. Aggie willing to chair.
Signs: good feed-back. Need new chair.
Showing of Paid to Eat Ice Cream attended by about 30 people. Seemed
worth the effort!
5) Co-chairs: Teri is willing to consider co-chairing with a new
person. Gaye willing to serve as advisor/consultant/trainer/mentor.
Folks encouraged to think of who new leadership might be. Susan Bunn
and Lori Madden mentioned.
6) Band for 2004: first choice:Flapjack, 2nd choice: Airdance, 3rd
choice: Domino. Teri will contact
7) Will ask band for favorite callers. Beth Molaro, Carol Ormand, Cis
Hinkle, Kathy Anderson are all possibilities.
