Dear Folks,

I'm sorry it took so long to get these out (my fault, not Gaye's) but here
are the minutes from our first meeting.

Minutes from 1st 2003 Fall Fest Meeting- Mar. 5, 2003

1) Welcome and thanks for volunteering to make it happen again!
2) Volunteer update- Lynn will chair again. Please let her know as soon as
possible if you are not happy with the number of volunteers allotted to your
committee. Major needs at this point are chairs for decorations, housing,
PA, Potluck, Sat. night party and workshops. Let Lynn know if you are aware
of anyone interested!
3) Proposed budget was approved with the addition of $200 allocated to
potluck. Admission will stay at $50 before Sept. 1 and $60 after. There was
some discussion about rewarding hosts in order to encourage them to host
guests. Perhaps a free t-shirt?? Will discuss more later.
4) Chose Troublesome Creek (Rick Martin et al) for first half and Avant
Gardeners (Laura Light et al) for second half as first choices. Stay Tuned
is 2nd choice and House Red is 3rd choice. **Troublesome Creek and Avant
Gardeners have accepted! (3/24/03)
5) Rob Craighurst will call second half of Friday night dance. Brad Saylor
will be asked to call first half. Shawn and Gaye are next choices. (Both
Rob and Brad have graciously agreed to call Friday evening)
6) Flyer was discussed. Will volunteered to work with Shawn to perfect the
map. 2 additions to flyer: "Cancellations after 10/1 receives 1/2
registration fee as refund." and "Limited space with local hosts available.
  First come, first served."
7) Will ask Kim McCormick to do catered lunch again on Sat.
8) Will ask Tina Liza Jones to lead gospel sing on Sun. (confirmed
3/24/03)
9) Rob will happily lead Shape Note singing. Fred Todt, Joseph Pimentel's
partner, will be asked if he would like to help.
10) Teri will be in charge of Dance Duds again.
11) Teri will contact Nancy Duggan to invite her to bring dresses again.
12) We will consider showing Paid to Eat Ice Cream at 4PM on Sat. during
down time before dinner.
13) Sat. evening entertainment is open. Any ideas??
14) Made our first list of possible bands for 2004: will choose at a future
meeting. Let us know if you have other suggestions to add to list.
Flapjack, Bardi Barda, Airdance, Shadrack's Delight, Domino, Barachois,
Double Date. So, if you have a chance to hear, or dance to any of these
bands this summer, keep them in mind.

Thanks for all that you do,

Teri and Gaye
