1. Tuesday, March 31 - Weekly Tuesday Dance Practice at Greenwood
Tuesday night dance practice policy change:
Change in routine--we will now be waltzing *every* Tuesday with some
other form of couple dancing towards the end of the evening based upon
request--usually Swing or Cajun-Zydeco.
7:30-8:50 Waltz Practice--a chance to work on the moves taught
in Gaye's class
8:50- 9:45 by request Zydeco or Swing etc. (or more waltzing)
some instruction/help provided
partner recommended, but not required

Cawood Fitzhugh's house, this Tuesday at 7 PM.

3. Weds., April 1 - International Folk Dance in C'ville
Charlottesville International Folk Dancers meets Wednesday evenings
at the Senior Center, 1180 Pepsi Place, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Join people of all ages to learn and do lively, haunting, or gentle
folk-dances from many different countries.
Teaching is from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m.,
and recreational dancing is from 7:15 - 8:30 p.m.

8. Saturday - Parks Family Benefit Auction in Bridgewater
Most of you know by now that Steve Parks, musician, instrument maker,
and long time member of our dance community, has been diagnosed with
inoperable cancer.
There will be a benefit auction on Saturday, April 4th with all proceeds
going to the
Parks Family Fund.
Please come and show your support for Steve and his family in this difficult
time.

Join us Sunday, April 5 at the Capital Ale Restaurant, 623 E. Main St,
from 12 to 3 for the Open Waltz. Dance to pre-recorded folk-style
waltz music, enjoy the Capital Ale fare, and socialize with like-minded
dancers.
This Sunday those who attended Paula and Allen's workshop at the Springforth
Ball
can discover what they remember of the Hambo, and those attending Gaye's
waltz
instruction series can show off their latest moves.
We may also throw in a Zweifacher just for fun.
No charge.
