1. NEW VENUE FOR CHARLOTTESVILLE FALL FESTIVAL, OCT. 24-26
Due to repairs to the Walker School's gym floor, the Charlottesville
Fall Dance Festival is moving to a new venue, Buford Middle School.
Buford's at 9th and Cherry in Charlottesville and is built on the same
plan as Walker. A map and directions are at:

All registered dancers have been notified by e-mail. Registration is
still open, and we're seeking single men in particular. You can download
the registration form at the link above.

2. Tuesday, Oct. 14 - Weekly Tuesday Dance Practice at Greenwood
7-8:30 Waltz Practice--a chance to work on the moves taught
in Gaye's class
8:30- 9:30 Zydeco or Swing etc. some instruction/help provided
partner recommended, but not required
Cost: $5
On weeks when there is an open waltz at Burnley Moran or Greenwood,
we will offer only Zydeco and/or swing from 7:00 to 9:30

3. Weds., Oct. 15 - International Folk Dance in C'ville
Charlottesville International Folk Dancers meets Wednesday evenings
at the Senior Center, 1180 Pepsi Place, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Join people of all ages to learn and do lively, haunting, or gentle
folk-dances from many different countries.
Teaching is from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m.,
and recreational dancing is from 7:15 - 8:30 p.m.

Dance is every 1st, & 3rd Fri, 8-11 PM.
Beginners' workshop at 7:30.
$8 admission, $5 students
($5 after 9:30, youths 12 -18 $5 & under 12 free).
Please bring clean, soft-soled shoes.

Do you have extra sleeping room in your house?
Be it bed, floor or couch there is a dancer coming to Fall Festival
who would be eternally grateful to crash at your house.
It's a great way to make new dancing friends and learn about dancing
in other areas while helping to support Festival.
