Charlottesville International Folk Dancers meets Wednesday evenings
at the Senior Center, 1180 Pepsi Place, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Join people of all ages to learn and do lively, haunting, or gentle
folk-dances from many different countries.
Teaching is from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m.,
and recreational dancing is from 7:15 - 8:30 p.m.

ahead onto Edgewood Rd.
At the next stoplight go left onto Augusta St.
Go 3 blocks and turn left on Tams St. (next to Shiplett's Cleaners)

5. Saturday, May 17 - Contra in Damascus
The Trail Days Contra Dance will take place this Saturday, May 17 at the
Rock School in downtown Damascus, VA. Dot-Dot-Dash will play some
high-energy tunes; callers Warren and Terry Doyle teach each dance before
the music begins. The instructional lesson begins at 7PM and the dancing
starts in earnest at 7:30PM. The Rock School is located 2 blocks off Laurel
(the main street) on Shady Lane (the state highway that leads to Shady
Valley, TN).Contra dance is a lively American cousin to the square
dance--it's fun, it's easy, and it can be very good exercise. Come as you
are, wear
soft flexible shoes for dancing, and the caller will teach each dance. Come
to dance or come to listen - no partner is required.Admission: $2 for 2008
