1. Tuesday, May 15 - International Folk Dance in C'ville

Charlottesville International Folk Dancers will have their weekly dance on
Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8:30 p.m.  This will be held at the Senior Center
(1180 Pepsi Place). Join people of all ages for teaching and recreational
dancing from cultures all over the world.

2. Weds., May 16 - Renaissance Dance at UV New Cabell Hall room 123 ?

 Renaissance Dance, 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 7PM.

  No admission, but donations to cover the cost of the
hall appreciated.  Primarily English Country Dance of the early seventeenth
century and Italian dance of the late 16th.  No experience required,

3. Friday, May 18 - Swallowtail Contra in Greenwood

The regular Friday Contra a MAC moves to Greenwood for a special dance:

>From New England, the renowned Swallowtail will play the Friday night dance
on May 18th.

The dance will be held at the Greenwood Community Center instead of the
regular venue, the MAC.

Admission is $8.

Directions to the Greenwood Community Center: Take I-64 to Route 250 (Crozet
exit). Go west to 690 (right turn) to 691 (right again) in Greenwood. The
Greenwood Community Center is on the right.

    From Exit 222 on I-81 (just North of I-64) turn right onto Rt. 250
(west) towards Staunton.
    Turn right onto Statler Blvd. (at Auto Zone). Cross Commerce Road (Rt.
11) and continue on
    Statler Blvd. At Coalter St. stoplight (next to 7-Eleven), go straight
on Edgewood Rd.
    At next stoplight go left on Augusta St. Go 3 blocks and turn left on
Tams St. (next to
    Shifflets Cleaners).  Go 1-1/2 blocks and MBC Physical Activities
Building is on right.

5. Saturday, May 19 - Trail Days Contra in Damascus

Annual Trail Days Contra Dance at the Rock School in Damascus

Toss The Possum will once again grace us with their fine musicianship,
featuring Mom on keyboards and her amazing offspring on flutes & whistles,
fiddle and bass.

The dance will be on Saturday, May 19, and will run from 7:30--10:30 PM.
Let's all make it a great reunion on the Damascus Contra Dancers along with
celebrating Trail Days with all the very entertaining and joyful hikers.
