1. Tuesday, August 14 - International Folk Dance in C'ville

Charlottesville International Folk Dancers will have their weekly dance on
Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8:30 p.m.  This will be held at the Senior Center
(1180 Pepsi Place). Join people of all ages for teaching and recreational
dancing from cultures all over the world.

2. Saturday, August 18 - Contra in Blacksburg

Well, the Blacksburg contra dance doesn't have a permanent hall for
the year so please check the website for dances and their locations.
For now, we are definitely
having dances on the following Saturdays:
   18 August
   15 September
   17 November - not a sure thing yet but we're trying to host Lift Ticket
   26 January

So, there will be a dance this coming Saturday, August 18th!  We have
reserved the Old Dominion Ballroom in Squires Student Center. (air
conditioned!).  The dance will be from 7:30-10:30pm as Squires closes,
so come out early!

The band will be Floorplay from Charlottesville with Shawn Brenneman
calling.

Please spread the word and join us for our first dance in many months!
