Renaissance Dance, 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 7PM, Charlottesville
Municipal Arts Center.  No admission, but donations to cover the cost of the
hall appreciated.  Primarily English Country Dance of the early seventeenth
century and Italian dance of the late 16th.  No experience required,

Directions to the Greenwood Community Center: Take I-64 to Route 250 (Crozet
exit). Go west to 690 (right turn) to 691 (right again) in Greenwood. The
Greenwood Community Center is on the right.

Admission: $6, MBC students - free

 Beginners' workshop at 7:30 PM, Dance begins at 8:00 PM.

Directions from exit 222 on I-81 (just north of I-64):

Turn right onto Rte 250 (west) toward Staunton.
Turn right onto Statler Boulevard (at the AutoZone)
Cross Commerce Road (Rte 11) and continue on Statler Blvd.
At the Coalter St. stoplight (next to Seven Eleven) go straight ahead onto
Edgewood Road.
At the next stop light go left onto Augusta Street.
Go three blocks and turn left on Tams St. (next to Shiplett's Cleaners)
 Go 1 ½ block and the Physical Activities Building is on the right.

4. Next Weds., May 24 - Irish Set Dance Class in C'ville

The Blue Ridge Irish Music School will sponsor an Irish Set Dance workshop
Wednesday May 24 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 214 Rugby Road, Charlottesville,
which is the site of the former Prism Coffeehouse.  Carol Lash and Dick
Ralston will teach sets from County Clare Ireland.  These "sets" are danced
in squares of 4 couples to lively music (mostly reels) with steps that are
close to the floor.  The admission is $5 for dancers and $3 for spectators.
