1. Weds., May 3 - Renaissance Dance at MAC in C'ville

Renaissance Dance, 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 7PM, Charlottesville
Municipal Arts Center.  No admission, but donations to cover the cost of the
hall appreciated.  Primarily English Country Dance of the early seventeenth
century and Italian dance of the late 16th.  No experience required,

    Dance is every 1st, & 3rd Fri, 8-11 PM.
    Beginners' workshop at 7:30. $7 admission ($4 after 9:30, youths 12 -18
    $4 & under 12 free).

Please bring clean, soft-soled shoes.

3. Sunday, May 7 - Irish Ceili in Greenwood

The Blue Ridge Irish Music School will be presenting an Irish ceili on
Sunday, May 7  from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Community
Center in Greenwood.

  A ceili (which is pronounced KAY-lee) is a participatory
dance event, which includes live music and social dancing.  Irish ceili and
set dancing is similar to American square dance and contra dance in that the
dances are "called".

Admission is $6 for an individual, $3 for ages 8 - 16.  Under age 8 are
free.  (admission for BRIMS members is $4 for an individual and $2 for ages
8-16)

4. Next Weds., May 10 - Open Waltz in C'ville

The next open waltz will be Wed. May 10, 7-9PM at the Burnley-Moran gym.
Music provided by TJ Johnson and Dan Sebring.  Donation of $4-5 appreciated.
