1. Saturday, August 26 - First of new Contra series in Madison County

Madison County is advertising their first contra dance this weekend!
It will be held in the Criglersville Elementary School.
The Madison County Possum String Band and Smokin Trout will be the bands
with fast fiddlin of Scots Irish flair.
The caller is DeLaura Padovan from King George County.
Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door.
Saturday, August 26 from 7-10pm.
Anyone interested can call 540 923 5040 or 540 923 4661.
Madison is just 23 minutes from Fashion Square Mall.  It would be nice for
folks to come out and support a neighboring county.  I've heard the Possums
and they are great!

TADAMS presents it's Richmond Contra Dance each 2nd and 4th Saturday.

A full afternoon of fun - and an evening of dance delight!

3:00 - 5:00 PM  Open Waltz with Gaye Fifer
                 music by Jennifer Myer and Mary Prendergast
(donation of $5 is usual for this)

5:00 - 6:30 PM  Potluck dinner
                 Plates, eating utensils, cups, napkins provided
                 Watermelon for dessert and seed spitting

6:00 - 6:30 PM  Intro to Contra Dance (need a lesson anyone?)

6:30 - 9:30 PM  Contra Dance with Gaye Fifer calling
                 music by the Morrison Brothers

Directions to the Greenwood Community Center: Take I-64 to Route 250 (Crozet
exit). Go west to 690 (right turn) to 691 (right again) in Greenwood. The

Follow James River Bridge signs. Turn right onto RT 60 W
Turn left on Main Street in Hilton Village & park...

On-street parking is tight in Hilton Village.
