The Chaplain's Office will provide a van ride for anyone who wants to
attend the U2charist at the James River Conference Center in downtown
Lynchburg at  6 p.m. on Sunday , April 22. U2charist is a traditional
communion service which features the music of the Irish rock band U2.
The U2charist  rallies around the Millennium Development  Goals of the
United  Nations and the ONE campaign.

The ONE campaign derives its name from the belief that allocating an
additional one percent of the U.S. budget toward providing basic needs
like health, education, clean water and food would transform the futures
and and hopes of an entire generation in the world's poorest countries.
The ONE campaign also calls for debt cancellation, trade reform and
anti-corruption measures in a comprehensive package to help Africa and
the poorest nations beat AIDS and extreme poverty.
