Sorting It All Out
The VA Marriage Amendment:
What Does It Mean Legally?

Non – Partisan
Informational Session
with
Stephen R. Eubank, Esq.

Wednesday, November 1
7:00 p.m.
Conference Center
Room B

Sponsored by The Chaplain’s Office

The speaker, Stephen Eubank is a local attorney who works at a firm in
Amherst. He is a graduate of the College of William and Mary (B.A.) with
a law degree from the University of Richmond (J.D.). Because Steve is a
practitioner of the law, his official position on this issue is to have
no position. In much the same way, the Chaplain's Office position is to
have no position, but instead to create an opportunity for people to
better understand the potential legal implications of the proposed
amendment. This session will not address the proposed amendment as a
political, social, or moral issue. In case you are wondering why there
is only one presenter, this is done to assure that the question will not
become a heated political debate, but instead simply a description of
what the proposed legislation might mean in legal terms only. All other
opinions (political, social, moral, etc.) will be left up to the individual.
